David Baxter is the Lead Researcher in Emerging Risks at Lloyd’s of London and is the primary author of the Lloyd’s report on Nanotechnology. Areas of current and potential research undertaken at Lloyd’s also include biotechnology and other emerging technologies, digital risks, pandemics, terrorism, liability, and public health. The Emerging Risk Team’s role within Lloyd’s is to research and inform the Lloyd’s market of risks that are either new, changing in nature or changing in perception. He holds a Masters in Physics and is currently completing a PhD focusing on optoelectronics.
