University's Nanoscale Science and Engineering Facility (HNF)
contains five laboratories. The HHF is an established centralized user
facility containing over $10M of micro and nano fabrication and characterization
equipment, Currently, HNF has integrated facilities in the following categories:
Lithography, Nanofabrication, Plasma Etching/Deposition, CVD Deposition,
Nanomembrane, Characterization, and Computer. Current researchers are
engaged in R&D in diverse areas such as electronics, materials science,
optics, polymer science, membrane technology, medicine, physics and chemistry.
The three technical areas are Chemistry (Characterization Science), Electronics
and Materials (wide band gap devices and applications to nanotechnology),
and materials (nanofiltration membranes and technology).
Participants of the ASME Nano Training Bootcamp will actively
engage in four modules :
- Microfabrication
- Instruments for nanotech
- Soft lithography/self-assembly
- Biology.
