The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology will host the 9th Biennial ASME Conference on Engineering Systems Design and Analysis (ESDA 2008) - to be held from 7 to 9 July 2008. The conference is sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Technion.
The ASME conference on Engineering Systems Design and Analysis (ESDA) is a biennial event, held recently in Istanbul (2002), Manchester (2004) and Turin (2006), drawing hundreds of participants from all over the world. The scope of the conference covers a variety of major topics in engineering and related disciplines, ranging from theoretical developments to industrial applications and case studies. ESDA 2008 will provide a forum for researchers and engineers from industry, academia and research institutes to discuss and exchange ideas, methods and results on contemporary topics in engineering.
The scientific program will include plenary lectures by invited speakers, invited sessions, contributed paper presentations and poster sessions. All contributed papers will be subjected to a full review process. Accepted papers will be published on a CD of the proceedings. Papers of outstanding quality will be selected for possible publication in an extended and revised form in relevant ASME journals.
A social program and tours to nearby attractions are planned for participants and accompanying persons. See the event website for details.
