Piero Lunghi, Ph.D.
The ASME family mourns the sudden passing of Piero Lunghi, Ph.D. of Universita Degli Studi Di Perugia, Italy. Dr. Lunghi was co-founder of ASME's European Fuel Cell Technology & Applications International Conference and its Technical Program Co-Chair. For friends, Piero's family is interested in raising donations for the Daniele Chianelli Committee which helps children suffering from leukemia - please contact the EFC 2007 Secretariat.

The Second European Fuel Cell Technology and Applications Conference, sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Italy's Ente per le Nuove Tecnologie, l'Energia e l'Ambiente (ENEA), intends to bring together fuel cell developers, scientists, academics, policy deciders, as well as end-users and industry representatives, giving particular emphasis to operational experiences and applications. The conference will address technical, scientific and market issues related to successfully bring fuel cells to the market.
