INVENTION
TO VENTURE WORKSHOP
Saturday, November 10 • 9:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m.
Many great ideas and promising technologies do not reach their potential and
sometimes don’t even get off the ground because their creators lack the
knowledge of how to turn their ideas into reality. ASME’s Center for Engineering
Entrepreneurship & Innovation is teaming up with the National Collegiate
Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA) to help these creators commercialize
and implement their ideas and technologies through an outstanding national program
called the Invention to Venture (I2V) workshop. Designed for the science, engineering,
and technology communities, the I2V is a one-day “entrepreneurship boot
camp” that teaches technology entrepreneurship basics, helps build networks,
and provides a framework for moving ideas forward. Topics include idea validation,
intellectual property management, marketing, building the team, creating a business
plan, and financing your idea.
