ASME's Honors and Awards program is funded through the ASME Foundation and bestowed by the Board of Governors, upon the recommendation of the Committee on Honors. Each year, the program recognizes a number of accomplishments in mechanical engineering. Some acknowledge general achievement in the advancement of engineering, while others recognize contributions made to engineering literature or lifetime achievement to the profession.

The Honors Reception and Dinner will immediately follow the Assembly and provide attendees ample opportunity to meet with this year's honorees and colleagues. The Honors Assembly is free of charge. The Honors Reception is a cash bar event. For those wishing to attend the Dinner, the cost for tickets is $90. Tickets may be purchased at the ASME Congress registration area.
