Description
Bio-downstream process design is taught considering the "big picture"
including process optimization, economics, and the bio-product requirements
for FDA approval and customer satisfaction. Chromatographic and membrane
separation technologies are highlighted with other important pre- and
post- processing unit operations examined. Finally, the total bio-downstream
process is studied utilizing simulation strategies to explore individual
component compatibility to achieve the desired bioprocess results.
Who
Should Attend
This seminar is intended for professionals involved with bio-product production.
Basic scientists, engineers, as well as marketing and legal experts would
benefit from a better understanding of the complexities of assembling
a bio-downstream process to produce an efficacious bio-product that can
meet all federal guidelines.
