Elaine Seat consults regularly on improving performance. Her interest combines industrial experience with passion for improving individual performance. She is on the faculty in the Management Department at the University of Tennessee’s School of Business. She spent 20 years as an engineer and engineering manager at the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge facilities.

Dr. Seat is on the faculty in the Management Department at the University of Tennessee’s School of Business where she teaches in the MBA and undergraduate programs. She is formerly a director of the aerospace MBA at the University of Tennessee. She spent 20 years as a practicing engineer and engineering manager at the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge facilities before moving to academia. She consults regularly and has worked with individuals and organizations in a number of industries, including engineering, manufacturing, business services, government agencies, and higher education.

She holds her Ph.D. in sports psychology and BS/MS degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee
