Director of Volunteer Leadership Development, ASME

Amy Geffen is the director of Strategic Initiatives for ASME. She has over twenty years of experience developing, delivering, and promoting continuing education to adult learners in non-profit organizations. She has led cross sector and international project management teams in her work for ASME.

Prior to joining ASME, she was director of professional development for the Risk and Insurance Management Society and national director of training for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was assistant dean of continuing education for Westchester Community College and director of corporate programs for Long Island University. Geffen has a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College, a master’s from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. from New York University.
