IGTI booth construction rules are in accordance with the guidelines established by the International Association for Exhibition Management (IAEM). Exhibitors wishing to request a deviation from approved booth construction must submit plans in writing to IGTI prior to April 1, 2007, and describe the deviations. Deviations to the following booth construction guidelines will not be permitted unless they are approved in writing by IGTI.
Height Restrictions
Exhibit space height restrictions are 8 feet high for in-line and corner stands; 16 feet high for peninsula stands; 12 feet high for perimeter stands; 16 feet high for island stands.
Multi-Story Construction
The Palais des Congres, City of Montreal fire marshal, GES Canada/Exposervice Standard and Show Management, prior to construction, must approve multi-story booths. The request for approval should arrive at IGTI by April 1, 2007, and must be accompanied by construction drawings. Drawings will be reviewed for construction standards, fire and safety hazards. Please note limited height restrictions as indicated above.
Construction Materials
All tents, awnings, curtains, drapery and decorations, either interior or exterior, must be constructed of flameproof material, or treated with an approved flame proofing solution. Treatment shall be renewed as often as may be necessary to maintain the flame proofing effect. All sawdust and shavings shall be kept damp at all times. All hay and straw shall be stored and maintained in a manner approved by the office of the fire marshal.
Hanging Signs
Hanging signs and graphics are permitted, usually to a maximum height of sixteen feet. Whether suspended from above or supported from below, they should comply with all ordinary use-of-space requirements (for example, the highest point of any sign should not exceed the maximum allowable height for any booth type).
Hanging signs & graphics should be set back ten feet from adjacent booths. Approval must be received by Show Management by April 27, 2007. Please refer to the Palais des Congres Sign Installation Order Form on page 8 to make arrangements for hanging the signage and contact igti@asme.org for permission.
Non-Official Service Contractor
Exhibitors must register any Non-Official Service Contractor (NOSC) with IGTI and submit current proof of insurance. The Notice of Intent to Use Non-Official Service Contractor must be submitted prior to April 1, 2007. NOSCs not registered with IGTI will not be permitted in the Exhibit Hall.
