Presentation Information - Student Paper Competitiion

STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION

PRESENTATION INFORMATION

There will be two poster sessions, one on Thursday June 17 and one on Friday June 18.

On the day of your assigned poster session, please hang your poster by 7:30 am and take it down by 3:00 pm.

You should also consult the final program that you will receive at the on-site registration to confirm this date and time, and for your specific poster board assignment.

Some things to keep in mind as you prepare for your poster presentation:

  • Please mount your poster well in advance of the scheduled poster session (thumbtacks WILL be provided).
  • Posters should not exceed a size of 4 ft x 4 ft square.

For those participating in the Student Poster Competition, please be prepared to give a 3 to 5 minute overview of your poster. Judges will evaluate the following:

  • Poster Format and Design,
  • Presentation Style and Communication Skills, Technical Merit and
  • Timeliness.

Your score for the poster presentation will be averaged with that of your abstract review, and the awards will be presented at the Summer Bioengineering Conference Banquet on Saturday evening – so please plan on attending.
