Extended Abstract

An extended abstract is a short peer-reviewed paper that is accepted for presentation at a technical session and publication in the conference proceedings. Extended abstracts may include diagrams, graphs, charts, photos and a small amount of text to illustrate major points of paper. Requires a final extended abstract upon submittal for consideration.
Length: 2 pages (fully formatted, two-column, 8.5 x 11 in. pages)

PhD-Level Student Paper Competition

For an abstract to be considered for the PhD level student competition, the author must explicitly declare it by selecting "PhD-Level Student Paper Competition" as the paper type on the ASME submission tool at the time of submission. Submission of abstracts for all themes and subthemes are encouraged. For more information, including eligibility requirements, please visit Student Paper Competitions.
Length: 2 pages (fully formatted, two-column, 8.5 x 11 in. pages)

MS-Level Student Paper Competition

For an abstract to be considered for the MS level student competition, the author must explicitly declare it by selecting "MS-Level Student Paper Competition" as the paper type on the ASME submission tool at the time of submission.
