Call for Participants
Your company is invited to participate in the Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Demonstration
Forum that will be held at the 2006 ASME Pressure Vessels & Piping (PVP) Conference. The
ASME PVP Division sponsors the Conference. The PVP Senate, the PVP Materials &
Fabrication Committee, and the NDE Engineering Division sponsor the NDE Forum. Vendors
will demonstrate their NDE products and/or services from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday,
July 24, 2006.
The NDE Forum is designed to provide a convenient opportunity for PVP Conference attendees
to evaluate current and emerging NDE technology and for your company to demonstrate the
features, capabilities, and benefits of your NDE products and/or services. The Conference
Program Committee has arranged an outstanding four-day series of technical sessions. More
than 500 engineers are expected to attend the Conference. Their areas of interest include PVP
research and development (R&D), design, operation, inspection, and maintenance.
As a NDE vendor, this event provides an excellent opportunity for your company to make
contact with current and potential users of your company’s products and/or services within the pressure vessel and piping community and to obtain information to help guide the direction of new development. Discussions, demonstrations, and distributions of literature at the NDE Forum will help these engineers make and influence buying decisions and confirm R&D needs. Since engineers from many countries will be attending the Conference, participation in the NDE Forum will give your company a broad marketing exposure.
NDE Forum Details:
Each participating company will be allocated one draped six-foot table, chairs, one 110-volt
outlet, and an easel to hold a sign or poster describing your company’s products and/or
services or naming your company. There will not be any telephones or booth partitions.
As a participant, you will be expected to bring and set up your own equipment. The NDE
Forum can accommodate two or three company representatives demonstrating their
products and/or services at any one time. No sales will be permitted at the NDE Forum, but participants may distribute literature and have hospitality suites.
The NDE Forum will be located in a foyer near the registration area and the technical
session rooms. Coffee, refreshments, and snacks will be available in this area to provide
the Forum participants maximum exposure to Conference attendees.
Each company will be asked to contribute $250 for the one-day event. If your
company’s representatives wish to attend the conference technical sessions, they must each
register and pay conference fees separately through ASME.
To reserve a place at the NDE Forum, send your response by April 30, 2006. Use the attached form or register on the Internet at http://www.fitness4service.com/conferences/2
006/NDE_ForumRegistration.htm. Make checks payable to: ASME PVP Division. The choice of table location will be based on registration order -first come first served.

| 2006 ASME PVP Software Demonstration Forum |
Invitation to the ASME PVP Software Demonstration Forum by James F. Cory, Jr.
This year the annual ASME Pressure Vessel and Piping Summer Conference will be held in beautiful Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada from July 23-27, 2006. The Conference is sponsored jointly by the ASME Pressure Vessels and Piping (PVP) Division and the International Council on Pressure Vessel Technology (ICPVT).
On behalf of the Computer Technology Committee (CTC), I would like to invite your company to participate in the Software Demonstration Forum that will be held during the conference. The Forum is a session being sponsored by CTC as a single day event on Tuesday, July 25, with vendors demonstrating their software products from 8:30 am to 5:30 PM.
This is our seventeenth year for the forum, and we have had an increasing number of software suppliers attending each year. We were very successful at our last conference in Denver, and are now looking forward to Vancouver.
The Forum is designed to provide a convenient opportunity for mechanical engineers and designers who are active in the Pressure Vessel and Piping Industry to evaluate current software capabilities and products. The PVP Conference has arranged an outstanding four-day series of Technical Sessions for this meeting, and expects attendance by more than 700 engineers. Their areas of interest include PVP research and development, design, operation, inspection, and maintenance.
As a software vendor, this event provides an excellent sales opportunity for you to make contact with current and new users of your software products within the Pressure Vessel and Piping community. Discussions, demonstrations and distributing product literature at the Forum will educate these engineers when it comes to making and influencing buying decisions.
Forum Details:
Each participating company will be allocated with one five (5) foot table, chairs, one 110 volt outlet, and an easel to hold a sign or poster describing your software or naming your company. The table front and sides will be covered by drapes provided by the Conference. Small vendor displays fitting in this area can be accommodated; you should contact me with any questions. There will not be any phones at the display locations.
As a participant, you will be expected to bring and install your own computer. The Forum can accommodate two to three company representatives demonstrating their product at any one time. There will not be any product sales permitted at the Forum, but literature can be distributed and the participating companies may have hospitality suites during the conference.
The Forum is setup so that the participants will be given maximum exposure to the Conference attendees. The event will be located where conference participants gather for the technical sessions and where coffee and refreshment breaks will be held.
Each company will be charged a participation fee of $250 USD for the one-day event. If you desire to attend the conference technical sessions, you must register and pay conference fees separately through ASME.
To reserve a place at the Software Forum, please respond to me by mail, fax or e-mail by May 26, 2006. A check for the participation fee should be sent to me and made payable to "ASME PVP Division" and Sent To My Attention (James F. Cory, Jr.) at the address below. My receipt of your check will be required for formal registration to the event.
You can also contact me for further information on hosting coffee breaks and the Authors Breakfast.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you and to our meeting in Vancouver.
