Join your colleagues from industry, academia and government at the 32nd International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering (OMAE2013) in Nantes, France from June 9-14, 2013.

OMAE 2013 is the ideal forum for researchers, engineers, managers, technicians and students from the scientific and industrial communities from around the world to meet and present advances in technology and its scientific support; to exchange ideas and experiences whilst promoting technological progress and its application in industry; and to promote international cooperation in ocean, offshore and arctic engineering. Following on the tradition of excellence of previous OMAE conferences, more than 900 technical papers are planned for presentation.

Outreach for Engineers Specialty Forum at OMAE2013

The specialty forum is designed for students and early professionals who may not be familiar with the industry as well as those who have already specialized in this area. SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO OFF SET COSTS TO ATTEND THIS EVENT.

Technical Program

Our program will follow the tradition of excellence standard in all previous OMAE conferences. The following 10 standard symposia plus 2 special symposia are planned:

OMAE2013 will be held in Nantes, on the west coast of France near the famous Loire Valley. Nantes is the 5th largest city in France and the "most livable city in Europe", as named by Time Magazine in 2004. Known for its history, culture, tourism and ecological responsibility, Nantes has become a top destination for business and leisure travelers worldwide.

Workshop/Special Session on Verification & Validation (V&V): The first Workshop on Verification and Validation of CFD for Offshore flows was successfully held at the OMAE 2012 Conference in Rio de Janeiro. A second edition of this Workshop will be held at the forthcoming 2013 OMAE Conference in Nantes. As in the first edition, unsteady flow test cases (similar to those described at http://maretec.ist.utl.pt/WEB_omae2012/VV_OMAE2012.htm) with specific goals will be proposed for Code Verification, Solution Verification and Validation. OMAE 2013 is organized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering (OOAE) Division of the International Petroleum Technology Institute (IPTI) and the École Centrale de Nantes (ECN).

The official language of the conference is English.
