Visa Requirements
Please note that the Brazilian government requires entry visas for many of its visitors, whether on business or for tourism. To determine if you are required to have a visa to attend the conference, please go to:

This document will tell you if you need a visa or not.
Should you need a visa, please contact the Brazilian Consulate in your region or a passport/visa service to obtain one.
Invitation Letter to obtain your Visa
Should you require a letter of invitation to obtain your visa, the conference organizers will be pleased to draft a letter for you.
At least two of the following criteria must be met in order to honor the request for a letter of invitation. The requesting party must either:
- Be an author of an accepted abstract and/or paper.
- Be a current ASME member.
- Have paid the advanced registration fee for this conference.
