The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering (OOAE) Division of the International Petroleum Technology Institute (IPTI), and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ) invite you to participate in OMAE 2012 as a sponsor or exhibitor. The recent discovery of the Pre-Salt Reservoirs in deepwater off the shores of Brazil have doubled the country's proven oil reserves. An immediate result is the expansion of the oil & gas industry in Brazil, with supply companies establishing offices, manufacturing facilities and research centers to benefit from and contribute to the find in the new Pre-Salt Reservoirs. This challenging and exciting scenario will serve as the backdrop for OMAE 2012. A special workshop entitled "Pre-Salt Workshop: Challenges and Opportunities", jointly organized by PETROBRAS and COPPE/UFRJ, will give participants an update on developments in the region's exciting new frontier and will be a conference highlight.
