On-Site Author Information

The following equipment will be available in each session for presentation:

  • Overhead projector,
  • Data projector and
  • Slide projector (in selected meeting rooms). If you need a slide projector, please make a special request to the local organizers as soon as possible.

Video recorders will not available without prior arrangement. If it is needed, then a special request to the local organizers should be made at least a week in advance. The rental cost of the video equipment must be borne by the author.

Laptops will not be provided in each room. The authors are asked to bring or arrange for their own laptop. A few laptops will be available at the central location in exceptional cases.

The presentations are recommended with PowerPoint or with overhead transparencies. The presentations should be loaded on laptops prior to the session to minimize setup time. The presenters are requested to be in the session room at least 15 minutes prior to the session time.

The presentation time will be strictly followed. Except for the invited and keynote speeches, the presentations should be limited to 15 minutes. For a 15-min. presentation, it is advisable to plan to use about 15 slides (i.e., one min per slide). This will allow a 5-minute discussion period.

The authors/presenters are free to choose the style of slides for their presentation. As a guideline, the slides should have large lettering and should not be too busy.

Company logos on the slides are acceptable.
