Attention MSEC2008 & ICM&P Authors

A presenter must be identified for each presentation. The presenter of each paper will be required to pay the author registration by August 8, 2008, 9:00am CDT. If the presenter does not register the paper will be removed from the conference proceedings and information on the paper will be removed from the conference website and on-site printed program. Available from ASME Press... Technical Writing A-Z: A Commonsense Guide to Engineering Reports and Theses

The Manufacturing Engineering Division (MED) of the ASME is pleased to sponsor the third annual 2008 International Manufacturing Science & Engineering Conference (MSEC). The conference will be hosted by Northwestern University from October 7-10, 2008 in Evanston, IL. In addition, this year the MSEC conference will be jointly sponsored and co-located with the 3rd JSME/ASME International Conference on Materials and Processing (ICM&P). This joint conference will be fully integrated, utilizing the ASME toolbox with all symposia are jointly sponsored and represented.

This conference will highlight cutting edge manufacturing research in both technical paper and panel sessions. The deadline for paper submissions is March 30, 2008. Prospective authors are encouraged to file a Statement of Intent to submit a paper by March 30, 2008. We look forward to seeing you in Evanston.

Special Note to ICM&P/JSME attendees: When submitting your paper, please ignore the question "Are you an ASME member?". ICM&P papers will belong to JSME and should follow the copyright instructions at http://plasma.numse.nagoya-u.ac.jp/~ohtaken/ICMP2008/CT_ICMP.htm
