For Outstanding Contributions to the Science and Art of Heat and Mass Transfer

The Luikov Medal, awarded by the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT) to one individual every two years, is dedicated to Aleksey Vassillevich Luikov, a renowned Russian pioneer in the field of heat transfer and thermophysics. Avram Bar-Cohen is the recipient of the award for 2008 and has made outstanding contributions to the science and art of heat and mass transfer, most notably through his work on ebullient thermal management of electronic systems and for activities in international scientific cooperation in conjunction with ICHMT programs. Avram Bar-Cohen is an Honorary Member of ASME. The award will be given during the banquet dinner on Wednesday, August 11, from 7:00pm - 9:00pm
