This forum is designed for design engineers who are interested in careers with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. The forum will address career options such as the role of mechanical engineers with the pharmaceutical manufacturers (owners), engineering & construction companies (consulting companies), and vendors/suppliers of hardware, software, and services. Examples of engineering projects via case studies will illustrate the current and comprehensive aspects of the industry. Presentations on important emerging technical aspects within the industry will look to the future, showing some of the exciting opportunities on the horizon. Professionals in the early stages of their careers in project, design, or support functions are especially encouraged to attend this forum to obtain a strong technical overview of the industry, with information which would be useful in the office.
