The 2006 ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conferences & Computers and Information In Engineering Conference will be held at the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel, located just four blocks from the center of Philadephia's center city. It just 15 minutes from Philadelphia International Airport and is near all of the city's attractions, including exceptional museums, galleries, the Liberty Bell Pavilion, the Independence Hall, world-class entertainment and restaurants.
The IDETC/CIE conference consists of several conferences and symposia sponsored by the technical committees within the Design Engineering Division and Computers and Information in Engineering Division of the ASME. The participating conferences are listed below.

Papers and presentations on various topics of engineering design are solicited for the conference. Please refer to the individual call for papers for each conference to review specific topics. The conference will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures, and tutorials on topics related to engineering design. Industry participation is particularly welcome; indeed, we hope the conference will provide opportunities for fruitful communication between the research and industrial communities.
