• Track 7 Grid Ramifications

ICEPAG 2008 focuses on "Advanced Power Generation: 10MW to 1000MW" with emphases on (1) Integrated Gasification Combine Cycle (IGCC) systems and component technology, (2) Integrated Gasification Fuel Cell (IGFC) systems and component technology (3), associated technologies including CO2 Sequestration and Grid Ramifications, (4) near term technologies for existing coal assets including Oxy Combustion, and (5) Large Renewable Deployment.

Particular attention is directed to (1) the emerging international activity; (2) the development of the international market for IGCC and IGFC technologies, fuel cell/gas turbine technology; and (3) the potential for cooperation and collaboration among participating countries. Applications of interest focus on central power generation, complemented by distributed generation. The colloquium features a series of presentations on the technological, environmental, regulatory, and market aspects of central plant power including the production of transportation fuels.
