Keynote Address - 08:00-09:30

The conference will open with a Keynote Address by Karl M. Wojik, Vice President for Large Engines Business Unit at AVL List in Graz, Austria. The title of Mr. Wojik's presentation is "Ultra Low Emissions - A Great Challenge for Large Bore Engines."

Mr. Wojik is serving as the CIMAC President from 2007 to 2010 and was also instrumental in hosting and organizing a very successful 25th CIMAC Congress in Vienna, Austria in 2007. He received his mechanical engineering degree from the Technical University of Vienna, Austria. He spent 18 years at MAN Diesel in Augsburg, Germany where he last served as Vice President responsible for Engine R&D, and Series Products and System Integration.

Mr. Wojik has been at AVL List in Graz, Austria for the past twenty years serving in several managerial and executive leadership positions including eight years responsible for Business Unit Large Engines, two years responsible for Business Unit Commercial Powertrain Systems, and ten years responsible for R&D of ICE engines. Mr. Wojik has more than 70 international publications and presentations at various congresses including SAE-USA, FISITA, and CIMAC worldwide.
