Jim Kahlenbeck
Director Worldwide Cummins MerCruiser Diesel Engineering
The Executive Committee of ASME-ICED and the Local Host Organizing Committee are pleased to announce that Jim Kahlenbeck, Director Worldwide Cummins MerCruiser Diesel Engineering, has kindly agreed to deliver the keynote speech at the inaugural event of the 2007 Fall Technical Conference. The title of Jim's presentation is "Cummins MerCruiser Marine Products and Industry Changes."
Jim assumed the responsibility as the Engineering Leader with Cummins MerCruiser Diesel in August 2004. Prior to taking up this leadership position he held several Engineering positions at Cummins which included program and technical leader for the development of the 8.3L and 8.8L electronic engine platforms from 1993-2004, Chief engineer for power generation 1991-1993, Engineering manager for marine and power generation 1986-1991, Midrange development engineer 1983-1986, and Turbocharger development engineer 1979-1983. Jim served on the NFPA technical engine committee for fire pumps from 1990 to 1997. Jim currently holds two US patents. He received his Bachelor Science Degree from Purdue University in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 1979. In 2002 Jim became certified Trainer by Achieved Global in Leadership development.

CMD offers a broad range of power, with available engine ratings from 115-715 HP for recreational applications and 76-715 HP for commercial use.
