The National Fuel Cell Research Center (NFCRC) is focused on stationary fuel cells, fuel cell/gas turbine hybrid technology, battery electric vehicles, fuel cell vehicles, plug-in electric hybrid technology, and the associated demands for electricity and hydrogen fueling infrastructure. The NFCRC manages the successful ZEV*NET (Zero Emission Vehicle-Network Enabled Transport) shared-used station car demonstration program that utilizes battery electric vehicles as well as a fuel cell vehicle deployment program that currently includes Toyota's newest fuel cell vehicle, the FCHV-adv Highlander, and the Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell Vehicle. (TMS) is the sales arm of Toyota in the United States and has the responsibility for planning next-generation vehicles under the office of the national manager for advanced technologies. Concepts range from future hybrid concepts to plug-in and battery electric vehicles, and hydrogen fuel cell hybrid vehicles (FCHVs). TMS coordinates with other business units of Toyota including Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA).
