Technical Writing A-Z: A Commonsense Guide to Engineering Reports and Theses

You are cordially invited to participate in the ASME 2009 Fluids Engineering Summer Meeting (FEDSM2009) on August 2-5, 2009, at the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa in Vail, Colorado. In recent years, our conferences have been in large cities. A different venue is being tried this time. The scenery in the Colorado Rocky Mountains is quite spectacular, and the location is readily accessible from Denver International Airport. The program will include the usual technical paper sessions, committee meetings, seminars, and social events. The tradition of excellence from previous Fluids Engineering Division conferences will be followed. Papers are being solic-ited for the following Symposia and Fora.

  • Pumping Machinery
  • Non-Invasive Measurements in Single and Multiphase Flows
  • Fundamental Issues and Perspectives in Fluid Mechanics
  • Gas-Particle Flows
  • Flow Manipulation and Active Control
  • Flow Applications in Aerospace
  • Transport Phenomena in Mixing
  • Transport Phenomena in Manufacturing Processes
  • Fluid Structure Interaction and Flow-Induced Noise
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics Verification and Validation
  • Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flows
  • Gas-Solid Two-Phase Flows
  • Numerical Modeling in Aerodynamics and Hydrodynamics in Turbomachinery
  • Applications in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Algorithmic Developments in CFD
  • DNS, LES, and Hybrid LES/RANS Methods
  • Numerical Methods in Multiphase Flows
  • Micro-Fluidics
  • Fluid Measurements and Instrumentation
  • Cavitation and Multiphase Flows
  • Advances in Fluids Engineering Education
  • Automotive Flows
  • Fluid Machinery
  • Biological Flows
  • Fluid Power
  • Multi-Phase Flows: Work in Progress
  • Transport Phenomena in Energy Conversion from Clean and Sustainable Resources
