Honors Assembly

The ASME Honors Assembly, held each year in conjunction with the ASME Congress, is a multimedia program that showcases the work and contributions of some of today's leading engineers, educators, entrepreneurs and innovators. The ASME Honors and Awards program also recognizes distinguished service to ASME, outstanding engineering accomplishments and lifetime achievements. Admission to the Honors Assembly is free to all Congress attendees.


The Honors Reception takes place immediately following the program. Everyone attending the event is invited to the reception, at which time you will have an opportunity to meet and greet this year's group of honorees.


This year's Honors Assembly will recognize the achievements of:


  Jane Davidson
Frank Kreith Energy Award


The award honors an individual for significant contributions to a secure energy future through innovations in conservation and/or renewable energy technology.

 
  Mohinder Nayyar
Melvin R. Green Codes & Standards Medal


For contributions to the development, promulgation, or management of documents, objects, or devices used in ASME programs of technical codification standardization and conformity assessment.

 
  Subra Suresh
Timoshenko Medal


In recognition of distinguished contributions to the field of applied mechanics.

 
  Edith Stern
Kate Gleason Award


The award seeks to honor an individual female engineer who is a highly successful entrepreneur in a field of engineering or someone who had a lifetime of achievement in the engineering profession

 
  Anita Rebarchak
Old Guard Early Career Award


The Old Guard Young Engineers Award is aimed at furthering the goal of the Old Guard to help the young engineer bridge the gap between college and professional life.
