Presentation Title: SunGas: The Promise of Renewable Thermochemical Fuels


Abstract: The conversion of concentrated sunlight into stored chemical energy in the form of hydrogen and synthesis gas holds great promise for renewable fuels but the technical and economic challenges are formidable. Prof. Davidson will discuss on-going work at the University of Minnesota to address these challenges for solar gasification of biomass and thermochemical metal oxide redox cycles.
