FULL registration categories (Presenter, Regular Registrant, ASME Life Member, ASME Life Member-Paper Presenter, ASME Student Member) entitles you to receive access to ALL technical sessions, posters, exhibits, lunch every day: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 1 copy of the DVD Conference proceedings, admission to the Conference Opening Reception, Keynote Presentation, and admission to the Honors Assembly.
† ALL Non-Members fully paid for the conference, are entitled to a FREE one-year ASME Membership. One-Day registrants are entitled to attend the technical sessions for the one-day they are registered for. (i.e. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) In addition, one-day registrants are entitled to receive 1 copy of the DVD conference proceedings. Lunch tickets are available at the daily rates. Please select your preferred day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
ASME No-Show Policy: The compilation presented in the CD-ROM version of the proceedings is not the archival version of the Proceedings. Paper information contained therein should not be used for citation purposes. According to ASME's No-Show policy, if a paper is not presented at the conference, the paper will not be published in the official Archival Proceedings, which are registered with the Library of Congress, and are abstracted and indexed. The paper also will not be published in the ASME Digital Library, and may not be cited as a published paper.
Refund Policy
For Presenters and Student Presenters, refund requests must be faxed to (212) 591-7856 by August 25th, 2011. Once the refund is issued, the paper will be removed from the proceedings and the presentation will be removed from the final program. If however a co-author has registered and paid by the August 18th deadline, and is designated to present the paper, the paper will not be removed. All authors who have been designated to present a paper at the conference must register as a presenter or as a Student Presenter. ASME will access a $75 administrative fee of all cancellations. Registration Requirement for Presenters at Congress 2011
Every published paper, presentation and panel presentation must identify a designated Presenter. This Presenter must register and pay the applicable conference fees by the Early Bird registration date (August 18, 2011). If not, the paper will not be included for publication in the proceedings and the accompanying presentation information will be removed from the conference program.

Presenter = Author Presenter, Panelist, Presenter of a Poster Paper, Presenter of an Oral Presentation.
Paper = Technical publication, extended abstract, short paper, poster paper, oral presentation, panel presentation. The paper types to be published are technical publication, extended abstract, short paper, and poster paper.
Non-Presenting Authors and Chairs
All participants, including non-presenting authors, session chairs and co-chairs are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fee.
Cooperating Societies
Members of cooperating societies may register for the Congress at the ASME member rate.
