Sponsored by ASME Nanotechnology Council
Micro- and nano-scale phenomena and processes are widely explored across many ASME divisions to create new applications and to improve the existing engineering systems. This forum seeks to bring together ASME members and others from different disciplines/divisions with a focus on micro and nanotechnology. In the past, the forum had been enthusiastically embraced by ASME members and achieved great success. For example, last year >150 posters were submitted and there had been >300 attendees at the forum.
This year, the Forum will be held on 1:00-4:45 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2010, in the form of a poster session. If you have already submitted regular papers to IMECE2010, the forum will provide you an additional opportunity to present your work, help maximize its exposure at IMECE 2010, and meet other colleagues in the field-all you need to do is to make a poster, inform us, and bring your poster to the forum. If you have not submitted papers to IMECE2010 yet, the forum will provide you an excellent excuse to visit the beautiful city of Vancouver-all you need to do is to register at IMECE2010, inform us, and bring your poster to the forum.
Refreshments will be provided at the forum. In addition, we will select some of the best posters to receive Best Poster Awards. All the posters presented at the forum will be eligible for the Best Poster Awards. The members of the Award Selection Panel are leaders from academia, industry, and government funding agencies. Each award recipient will receive a certificate signed by the ASME President, and their research will be featured in the ASME flagship magazine - Mechanical Engineering.
