Conference, Exposition and Committee Meeting Locations
The 2009 Congress will be held at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotels.


Registration, publication sales, technical session and the Exposition will be held at the Dolphin Hotel.


Registration Information
All conference registration will take place at the Dolphin.


Cooperating Societies
Members of cooperating societies may register for the Congress at the ASME member rate.


Awards and Ticket Sales
Many Division and Society awards are given at the Congress. Tickets for all functions will be made available shortly.


Disabled Registrants/Special Requirements
Whenever possible, we will make arrangements for disabled registrants or registrants with special requirements if we receive advance notice. Please contact Melissa Torres at (212) 591-8257.


Tax Deductibility
Expenses of attending professional meetings such as registration fees and cost of technical publications are considered tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses to U.S. citizens.


Meeting Information/Message Desks
Meeting Information and Message Desks will be available at the Dolphin. The desks will be staffed during registration hours at the Dolphin Hotel.


Badges are Required for Admission to all Events
Admission to all functions for the meeting will be the official 2009 Congress badge. No one will be admitted to the technical session area unless they have registered and are wearing the official 2009 International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition badge. The Congress provides an opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with colleagues from around the world.


Earn Professional Development Hours at the Congress
In keeping with the ongoing need of engineers to monitor their continuing professional development; Congress attendees can earn PDH credits. One session hour equals one PDH. Please note: approval of credits rests with each state’s licensing board and individuals must keep track of their PDH credits.


Onsite Photography
ASME has retained the services of a photographer to capture photo images of the events and activities from the 2009 Congress in Lake Buena Vista. The photographer will be taking photos, as assigned by the ASME Communications Department. All photographs are the sole property of ASME, and ASME retains all rights in and to said photographs, which may be used for promotional purposes only, including, but not limited to, the ASME Web Site. If you require more information about the use of Congress photographs, please go to the Press Desk at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.
