Registration Requirement for Presenters at Congress 2007
Every published paper, presentation and panel presentation must identify a designated Presenter. This Presenter must register and pay the applicable conference fees by the Early Bird registration date (August 24). If not, the paper will not be included for publication in the proceedings and the accompanying presentation information will be removed from the conference program. Presenter = Author Presenter, Panelist, Presenter of a Poster Paper, Presenter of an Oral Presentation.
Paper = Technical publication, extended abstract, short paper, poster paper, oral presentation, panel presentation. The paper types to be published are technical publication, extended abstract, short paper, and poster paper.
Non-Presenting Authors and Chairs
All participants, including non-presenting authors, session chairs and co-chairs are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fee.
Registration Policies
- Full registration (Presenter, Regular Registrant and Non-Member) fee includes admission to all sessions, poster presentations, exhibits, keynote session, opening reception, honors assembly and (1) copy of DVD conference proceedings, (1) free on-line personal subscription for one year to an ASME journal not currently subscribed to, and (1) food and beverage coupon.
- Student registration fees include admission to all sessions, poster presentations, exhibits, keynote session, opening reception, honors assembly, and (1) copy of DVD conference proceedings, (1) free on-line personal subscription for one year to an ASME journal not currently subscribed to, and (1) food and beverage coupon.
*A Student must be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program with a major in engineering. ID is required for all student non-members. Student non-member registration is not available on-line, ONLY via fax with proper ID.
- Guests, Committee Meeting Only, Student Design Contest and Exhibit Only Registrants, can attend poster presentations, exhibits, keynote session, opening reception, and honors assembly. These registration categories do not include entrance to technical or track sessions, DVD conference proceedings, free on-line personal subscription or food and beverage coupon.
- To attend the technical sessions, you must register and obtain the official Congress badge.
- For Presenters and Student Presenters, refund requests must be faxed to (212) 591-7856 by August 24, 2007. Once the refund is issued, the paper will be removed from the proceedings and the presentation will be removed from the final program. If however a co-author has registered and paid by the August 24th deadline, and is designated to present the paper, the paper will not be removed. All authors who have been designated to present a paper at the conference must register as a Presenter or Student Presenter. ASME will assess a $75 administrative fee for all cancellations. - Refund request for all other attendees must be faxed to (212) 591-7856 by October 26, 2007. ASME will assess a $75 administrative fee for all cancellations. Cancellations after October 26, 2007 will not be honored.
- Non-Members who pay the full Non-Member conference registration fee are eligible for one year free ASME Membership.
- Life Members can attend poster presentations, exhibits, keynote session, opening reception, and honors assembly. Life members may also attend all sessions, but do not receive DVD conference proceedings, free on-line personal subscription or food and beverage coupon.
- Early Career Program includes admission to the poster presentations, exhibits, keynote session, opening reception, and honors assembly. This fee does not include access to any of the other sessions or special events for the conference.
- Early Career Packages include admission to Invention to Venture Workshop (Saturday)/Early Career Forum & Fair (Sunday) or Invention to Venture Workshop (Saturday)/Early Career Forum & Fair (Sunday)/Early Career Development Series (Monday), as well as poster presentations, exhibits, keynote session, opening reception, and honors assembly. This fee does not include access to any of the other sessions or special events for the conference.
