The Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering is the oldest degree granting program at Georgia Tech. By enrollment and the number of degrees granted, we are one of the largest schools of mechanical engineering in the country. For microstructures, Polytec has merged three technologies into one instrument known as a Micro System Analyzer. By combining laser Doppler vibrometry, stroboscopic video microscopy and scanning white-light interferometry, the Micro System Analyzer can measure out-of-plane and in-plane dynamics as well as measure static surface topography on microstructures such as MEMS.
