ASME is actively soliciting applications to participate on a new Codes & Standards committee related to medical devices.
Proposed Committee Title: V&V 40 - Verification and Validation in Computational Methods for Medical Devices
Draft Charter: This Committee is responsible for standardizing procedures for quantifying the accuracy of modeling and simulation in computational methods for medical devices.
Proposed Designation of Draft Standard: ASME V&V 40-20XX
Proposed Title of Draft Standard: Standard for Verification and Validation in Computational Methods for Medical Devices
Potential Stakeholders: Users, manufacturers, designers, laboratories, academia, consultants, and government.
Proposed Description of Contents of Draft Standard: This document provides the practices and procedures for verification and validation in computational methods for medical devices.
